Malaysia was the most travelled country in Southeast Asia in 2016, where the capital city Kuala Lumpur, also called KL is located. Malaysians are very friendly and helpful people, who always make you feel welcome in their country. Kuala Lumpur is rich in different cultures, religious sites, shopping malls, and delicious food like Nasi Lemak, which is a must try. Kuala Lumpur is an affordable city in Southeast Asia and should be visited at least once in everyone´s life.
4. Petronas Towers
With a height of 451,9 metres, the world´s largest twin towers can´t be overlooked in Kuala Lumpur´s city centre. The shape and architecture of the towers are very fascinating and have a special majestic flair during night time. It is one of the most popular photo spots in the city, and funny to watch how travellers try to fit the towers and themselves in a selfie, which let´s say is almost impossible unless someone has a fisheye lens. The Lake symphony at the KLLC Park at night is definitely worth a visit for single travellers, couples and families with children. The fountains are multi-coloured and the show is accompanied by classical music. The best view can be enjoyed from the opposite of the KLLC shopping mall, which offers a direct view on the fountains and the Petronas Towers.
